OK, I have to admit it. Microsloth finally got something pretty much right. It still hangs, but it’s light years better than any Windows OS I’ve ever worked with. I’m running it on a new Toshiba Portege tablet. It’s pretty, it works well, and has some nice features. So far setting up a printer on the home network was incredibly simple. If you have Win 7, and you haven’t tried this, open a bunch of windows, then hit Control-Windows Key-Tab. Cool, right?
I also like Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 far better than the 2007 versions of both. If you don’t have Office 2010, you should get it. You should also get the Missing Manuals for Windows 7 and for Office 2010. They are both very good and the Office MM book came out about five days ago. David Pogue wrote the Win 7 book so you know it’s good.
There. That gives y’all somethin’ to do.
